Pain after tooth extraction is no exception. You can take a safe painkiller on the advice of your dentist. Always choose paracetamol first (unless otherwise advised). If the pain lasts longer than two days, and there is a severe pain combined with a foul taste in the mouth, please contact your dentist. In case of inflammation of the wound, it can be rinsed clean and other pain medications may be prescribed if necessary.
